Maintenance
This is a big place (able to handle 25 Falcons at once) with big capabilities. Supplemented by DFS Bordeaux-Mérignac. Operating under certification from EASA, the FAA and elsewhere, we support Falcons from almost anywhere. With the full engineering support of Dassault Aviation.
Capabilities
There is no Job Too Big (or Small) for DFS
A little air in the tires? Sure. A full C-check with upgrades. No problem.
Interior refurbishment
Tired cabins emerge from DFS looking like new. In fact, better than new as you can specify the most modern and up-to-date design features offered by Dassault Aviation and displayed in our on-site show room (then modeled in 3D for your approval). Many customers now specify environmentally friendly woods, fabrics and other materials that are contemporary, comfortable and elegant. Our design staff knows how to assist you through the many choices that make an interior uniquely yours.
Structures
Sometimes things get bent. Sometimes you want to upgrade with new winglets (on 900- and 2000-series). Whatever the reasons for structures work, we do it all with in house Part 21-approved engineering capability and further support from Dassault’s main engineering office. If it’s on a Falcon and requires structural repair, we can do it.
Airframes
We can perform any inspection up to the major C-check. And address issues found then or arise at other times. The issue might be corrosion. It might be hangar rash or something more major. The key thing to know is that we have airframe specialists, including in-house engineering to assess and repair anything. And, when needed, we have the full resources of Dassault Aviation engineering standing behind us.
NDT
How do you know whether structures are sound? By using the latest non-destructive testing capabilities. Ours include dye penetrant testing, magnetic particle inspection, eddy current testing, ultrasonic testing, endoscopic inspection, and three-dimensional laser measurement. Dassault Falcon Service has some of the most sophisticated measurement and non-destructive testing equipment available.
Hydraulics
Hydraulics are in many parts of your airplane, not just brakes. We’ll check out, service, and repair landing gear, valves, servos, cylinders, and also obviously brakes. We’ll do this for any Falcon. We are also certified on all items from Dassault Equipments.
Engines
No need to look far for engine expertise. Our in-house team combines deep technical knowledge with hands-on troubleshooting capability to keep your Falcon performing at best. Through close collaboration with trusted partners and OEMs, we ensure fast, effective solutions and continuous support from diagnostics to return to service.
Modifications
With modifications for airframes, flight decks, and interiors we keep Falcons thoroughly up-to-date and productive, and help them retain a high asset value. It may be that your aircraft requires an upgrade to stay current in today’s ATC system, or the latest entertainment and communications packages for passengers. We can do all of this and more.
Part 21
Not every organization has Part 21 status. It means EASA has the confidence in DFS’s ability to approve STC modifications or major repairs. It can speed up new installations, modifications, or the approval of structural repairs. It allows us to constantly be adding new upgrades and capabilities to enhance the productivity and value of Falcon aircraft.
Avionics Upgrades
Avionics upgrades are remarkable investments for making your aircraft more productive, enhancing safety, and retaining asset value. We do it all: EASy upgrades, full flight deck retrofits for legacy aircraft, FalconEye installations, dual HUDs, the latest Satcom systems and more. Why not schedule an upgrade concurrent with a C-check or other major inspection interval?
Entertainment & Connectivity
Falcons fly far and you need to stay connected. We are constantly integrating the latest satellite communication technologies to your aircraft to ensure highspeed capability, economical operation, and reliability. The same is true for cabin system technology that makes it easy and intuitive to manage cabin environment and entertainment.
Paint Shop
Nothing instills pride of ownership, while also enhancing aircraft value, like a stunning paint job. Our designers work with clients to produce designs that range from classic to wildly creative. 3D CAD design ensures precise application for imaginative and complex designs. Dassault partners with a world leader in the field, Satys, which has one of its bases right at Le Bourget. They use environmentally friendly and precise techniques on airliners and business jets to amazing effect.
Technical assistance
Our Expertise Available Wherever, Whenever
We have deep knowledge in every conceivable aspect of Falcon maintenance, and we bring it directly to you when necessary.
Have Parts, Will Travel
If your airplane isn’t with the experts in our hangar, we’ll send you our experts to you. We’ve sent them overnight to Beijing to put an aircraft back in service, and many other far-flung locations. The point is, our mission is to keep you flying. And we’ll travel near or far to do so.
AOG
Whether you are AOG in Paris or anywhere else, we can rush people, parts, and expertise exactly where it is needed to get you flying again. We base a Falcon 900 FAS (Falcon Airborne Support) jet at Le Bourget expressly for this purpose. We assemble GoTeams to address any situation. All coordinated by the Falcon Command Center and, when necessary, Dassault Engineering in Bordeaux-Mérignac.
MCC. Maintenance Command Center
For quick reaction to AOG and other remote maintenance needs there is the MCC, based in Lisbon but leading the coordination of resources with DFS, DABS in Geneva, and ExecuJet MRO Services throughout its network to field AOG teams, and for planning more extensive service, defining work scope, and assembling work packages. The idea behind the MCC is to respond fully and respond quickly, with the right people, parts, and other technical resources.
RAMP
Our line maintenance teams at Le Bourget and at additional locations (Mérignac, Nice, Rome and Dakar) operate with the precision of the pit crews at The 24 Hours of Le Mans. Contact us before arrival or during your stay and we will be ready to roll into action for you. We can swap line replaceable units, even engines and troubleshoot many issues right on the ramp. It’s one more way we support for your aircraft and keep you on schedule.
Operational support
Making it easier to operate your aircraft
The management of a large business jet requires a well-rehearsed team of professionals with long experience. That’s DFS.
CAMO
DFS can act as your Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization or work hand-in-hand with your CAMO. We can assume full responsibility for this area, simplifying your own management responsibilities for the aircraft and ensuring that all inspections, maintenance, AOG coordination, and (very important) your aircraft’s record keeping are fully and efficiently handled. We are well practiced in managing this function.
Predictable Fly-By-The-Hour Contracts
Maintenance costs, especially with major checks factored in can vary quite a bit from month to month. We can make these costs smooth and predictable on an hourly contract. This is customized for your aircraft taking into consideration expected inspections and overhauls. We can even fold in engine maintenance power-by-the-hour type contracts and CAMO management to make budgeting a predictable, no-surprises process.
Pre-Purchase Inspections
Whether buying or selling, you want to make sure the pre-purchase inspection is in good hands. We know every inch of every Falcon model and will conduct a thorough audit of documents plus inspection of the aircraft. We work with parties to facilitate transactions and can make mutually agreed upon repairs on the spot if required to close a deal. We also offer import and export services.
